‘Football Casuals’ were young blokes (read: football hooligans) with working-class roots who hung around football games in Leeds and all across England in the 80′s (high time was between ’84 and ’88) getting into all sorts of mischief. Unlike Skinheads wearing chunky Doc Martens, the Casuals went under the radar with their dress, which allowed them to get away with a lot more.
These guys wore their (mostly stolen) expensive designer brands and English heritage labels with pride. If it wasn’t for them, much of what’s popular today in heritage wear might have gone under.Put together by Nic Jones, Antoine Floch and Romaine Bernardie James.
Wish You Were Here, kicks-off this Friday 25th June at 16 rue du Parc-Royal, 75003 Paris!

Frog is also french and is published by the art critic Eric Troncy and Stephanie Moisdon. It focuses on contemporary art and architecture. This is issue features contributors such as Juergen Teller (again!), Olivier Zham who photographed the funerals of Malcom MacLaren, Dominique Issermann and more. My friends at Super released a kid version of their infamous flat-top sunglasses.
You can see the collection here : http://retrosuperfuture.com/super/kids/flat_top
Super is also collaborating with Paris-based creative studio and clothing brand Surface 2 Air. This collaboration results in the opening of a pop-up store in Paris, at the new S2A shop (108 rue vieille du temple, 75003 Paris).
I’ve also been told that Super guys are working on some designs with S2A, as well as some bad ass pieces designed in collaboration with a female designer/artist/songwrite, but nothing official yet, so don’t tell anybody.
